North American producer Nutrien said its Geismar, Louisiana, nitrogen complex did not lose power, suffer major damage or flooding from Hurricane Ida.
Nutrien shut down the facility on 28 August before the storm came ashore. It will assess the site further when weather conditions permit and restart the complex "as conditions allow to safely do so".
Geismar has a 500,000 t/year ammonia and a 400,000 t/year production capacity, according to Nutrien's latest annual report.
Hurricane Ida made landfall yesterday in southeast Louisiana as a category 4 storm, according to the US National Hurricane Center.
