Adds the shipment requirements
Importer Ethiopian Agricultural Businesses (EABC) is seeking to buy 549,000t of DAP for the country's 2025-26 season, with the tender due to close on 16 September.
Offers are to be given on a fob and/or cif basis and prices will be settled on a lot-by-lot basis.
Payment will be at sight and/or with 30 days of deferred payment. The performance bond must only be issued by the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia.
The DAP is to be supplied in bulk in nine lots of 61,000t each with the following laycans:
- Lot 1: 6-11 October 2025
- Lot 2: 6-11 October 2025
- Lot 3: 6-11 November 2025
- Lot 4: 16-21 November 2025
- Lot 5: 25-30 November 2025
- Lot 6: 1-5 December 2025
- Lot 7: 10-15 January 2026
- Lot 8: 20-25 January 2026
- Lot 9: 10-15 February 2026
The DAP will be bagged at Djibouti, the port of discharge.
EABC issued a tender on 9 September last year seeking 360,000t of DAP, and issued several more tenders to buy DAP subsequently. Before that, the importer had met its phosphate demand with NPS and NPSB, bought through tenders. EABC had sought a little over 1.02mn t of NPSB and 332,300t of NPS through a tender issued in August 2023.
