CHS Myrtle Grove still without power

US cooperative CHS's grain export terminal in Myrtle Grove, Louisiana, is still without power more than two weeks after Hurricane Ida made landfall in the region.

The terminal is currently running on generator power while clean up, repair and inspections continue. There is also just one lane of highway accessible to Myrtle Grove.

"Getting the CHS Myrtle Grove facility back up and running is our top priority," CHS Global Grain & Processing executive vice president John Griffith said. "Harvest is around the corner and although the recovery timeline remains uncertain, at this time we expect the port range to be operational for the core of corn and soybean harvest."

The company continues to divert exports to other facilities, pending commodity, capacity and transportation availability.

CHS previously said it would take 2-4 weeks for power to be restored and would divert exports to its facility in Kalama, Washington.
