Dr Osman has more than 30 years of maritime industry experience and has been a frequent guest speaker and panellist at industry conferences focussing on the topic of decarbonisation, sustainability and talent management in the maritime sector. He has supervised numerous maritime decarbonisation advisory projects for clients in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions and was appointed as a member of several governmental-industry-academic committees. In his current role, he is responsible for the maritime consulting business, R&D, and innovation within the areas of decarbonisation in shipping, as well as digitalisation initiatives. Dr Osman is also the director of the Maritime Decarbonisation and Smart Shipping Centre of Excellence in Singapore. He has extensive experience in strategy development for maritime decarbonisation and also working with several shipping players in their digital transformation journey. He has a doctorate degree with his research focus on industry cluster strategy and innovation ecosystem, and a MSc in Maritime Studies from NTU Singapore.

Christian studied chemical engineering and did his PhD on DME synthesis from gasified biomass at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Following completion of his PhD, Christian worked in Australia for six years in the fields of wastewater cleaning and nitric acid/ammonium nitrate. He returned to Germany and started working for thyssenkrupp in 2014 as a research engineer....

He returned to Germany and started working for thyssenkrupp in 2014 as a research engineer. A year later, he was promoted, heading the Technology, Innovation and Sustainability Fertilizer group. Through restructuring the group, Christian is now responsible for several technologies including green and blue ammonia developments.

After serving as Deputy Director General for Science and Technology Policy at the Cabinet Office of the Japanese government, Bunro engaged in the Cross-Ministerial Strategic Innovation Promotion Programme of the Cabinet Office (SIP) “Energy Carriers” (2014-18) as Deputy Programme Director. This project revealed the potential of ammonia as a CO2-free fuel and H2 carrier and triggered Japanese movements towards the introduction of ammonia as a power generation fuel. Bunro has written books and many articles on hydrogen and ammonia, including “Potential of Ammonia as CO2-Free Fuel and Hydrogen Carrier” (Chapter 3 of “CO2 Free Ammonia as an Energy Carrier — Japan’s Insights” (Springer May 2022) and “Implementation of Carbon Neutral Strategy — Electrification, Hydrogen and Ammonia” — (written in Japanese, Energy Forum, March 2021). He is presently acting as an independent expert on hydrogen and ammonia and serving Special Adviser to the Clean Fuel Ammonia Association and Senior Researcher at the International Environment and Economy Institute, Japan.

He is currently leading Argus' global ammonia business, as well as hydrogen and fertilizers markets in APAC and Middle East. Andrea was also the lead author of the highly regarded Argus Green Ammonia Strategy Report. Prior to joining Argus, he was the head of consulting for Integer Research. He is a regular speaker and industry events and has over 10 years of experience in APAC markets. Andrea is a graduate in Economics from the University of Padua in Italy and holds an MBA from McGill University, Canada.

Tim is Senior Vice President for the fertilizer sector at Argus. Tim worked a process manager at an ammonia/urea plant in South Africa before moving to the UK to join KBR (then M.W. Kellogg) as a process engineer in the ammonia technology team. More recently Tim has covered fertilizer and industrial nitrogen as a market analyst.
