SKY Renewables Pty Ltd

SKY Renewables is a global first mover in sourcing Australian agricultural products under fixed-price long-term contracts as feedstock for bioenergy applications.

SKY Renewables has spent the last 8 years working on Project Lion in the Burdekin Region of Northern Queensland. The project utilizes sugarcane tops-and-trash (green and dry leaves) which is being burnt today as feedstock to produce syngas through gasification process. The syngas has multiple bioenergy applications including biomethane, biodiesel, biomethanol and SAF using Fischer-Tropsch technology.

Project Feast is SKY Renewables’ industry leading initiative that links growers in Queensland’s Central Highlands Region to opportunities in the world’s move towards sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Project Feast involves growing sugar beet as a rotational winter crop for the production of bioethanol as feedstock for SAF using alcohol-to-jet technology. We have signed a highly unique Feedstock + Technology collaborative MOU with Honeywell UOP as partner. Biomethane will also be produced as a secondary product.
