Bangladesh's agriculture ministry has issued a fresh tender to buy fertilizers from private-sector importers. The tender closes on 16 September.
The ministry is seeking the following:
- DAP: 165,000t
- TSP: 110,000t
- Standard MOP: 160,000t
- MAP: 20,000t
The maximum cargo size for the DAP is 40,000t. The maximum cargo size for the TSP and MOP is 30,000t.
Cargoes should be shipped from the loading port by 30 October.
The ministry has not said whether this latest tender means that it has cancelled its previous private-sector tender, which closed on 5 August. It had awarded 255,000t of DAP from Egypt, Jordan and Morocco in that tender. No awards for TSP, MOP or MAP emerged.
Separately, Ethiopia's EABC will close a tender to buy 549,000t of DAP on 16 September.
