Redwynn started his working life as a firefighter in the Midlands. Since moving to the Environment Agency (EA) 15 years ago he has been at the forefront of waste regulation, initially at the operational level and then developing and now leading the EA’s definition of waste (DoW) service. As resource efficiency and the circular economy become ever-more prominent, creating fuels derived from waste is a hot topic. End-of-waste or non-waste status brings a host of benefits, not least the removal of waste regulation and potential to sell into many more markets. In his talk Redwynn will explain what the EA’s DoW service is and how companies can engage with it, and will talk through the common mistakes many companies make when thinking about end-of-waste status. This talk could save you time and money if end-of-waste status is something you are considering.
