EBB

EBB

The European Biodiesel Board (EBB) is the association for companies producing biodiesel (HVO and FAME) in the EU. The EBB gathers over 37 members across 21 Member-States, representing over 65% of the European output. Biodiesel is the main European solution to reduce emissions from transport and dependence on imported oil. The EBB promotes the use of biodiesel in the European Union and is committed to fulfil international standards for sustainability in GHG emissions and sustainable feedstock. We represent biodiesel producers using all feedstocks: food/feed crops, waste, residues, and other innovative biogenic materials.
The EBB has been the authoritative voice of the biodiesel industry since its foundation in 1997. For decades we have worked alongside policymakers to ensure European regulation is as appropriate and effective as possible, developing an unrivalled understanding of the regulatory process and its impact on our industry. We are constantly working towards the development of improved and greener technologies.

eFuel Alliance

The eFuel Alliance is an interest group committed to promoting political and social acceptance of eFuels and to securing their regulatory approval. We represent more than 170 companies, associations and consumer organizations along the eFuel production value chain. We stand for fair competition and equal competitive condition for all relevant emission reduction solutions. We are firmly committed to further climate change mitigation and seek recognition for the significant part eFuels can play in sustainability and climate protection. Our aim is to create the conditions for the industrial production and widespread use of CO2-neutral fuels from renewable sources of energy.

European Waste-based & Advanced Biofuels Association - EWABA

European Waste-based & Advanced Biofuels Association - EWABA

EWABA is a Brussels-based association representing the interests of the European waste-based and advanced biofuels industry before EU institutions, national governments, industry, civil society and the media. We promote the inclusion of waste-based and advanced biofuels in the EU fuel mix as a sustainable means of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in EU transport. Our +55 members active in most EU Member States collect and use waste and advanced feedstocks listed in parts A and B of Annex IX of the Renewable Energy Directive (REDII) to produce sustainable biodiesel with the highest GHG savings (up to +90%) when compared with fossil fuels, thus enabling “near-term decarbonization” of the EU road and maritime transport sectors.

VDB logo

Association of the German Biofuels Industry (VDB)

Since 2001, the Association of the German Biofuels Industry (VDB) has represented the most important German biodiesel and biomethane producers at national and European level vis-à-vis politicians and the public. Its members enable more sustainable mobility for vehicles with combustion engines by significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions from fuel.

The VDB advocates reliable framework conditions for biofuels. Biodiesel, bioethanol and biomethane play an outstanding role in reducing the greenhouse gas emissions of drive energy in road transport. They prevent the emission of over 11 million tonnes of CO2 in Germany - every year! This means that biofuels make by far the biggest contribution to reducing CO2 in transport today. At the same time, they reduce the import of fossil fuels and thus contribute to energy supply security. And: Biofuels strengthen regional value creation and secure around 22,000 jobs - mostly in structurally weak rural areas. Biofuels and e-mobility complement each other.
