Driving maritime decarbonization and connecting industry pioneers across North America

Biofuels | LNG | Methanol | Ammonia | Hydrogen | Infrastructure and regulations

The maritime industry finds itself at a crucial crossroads, navigating regulatory changes, decarbonization mandates, evolving fuel technologies and varying infrastructure readiness. As global trade continues to grow and environmental pressures mount, the need for scalable, sustainable marine fuel solutions has never been more urgent. The path to net-zero emissions requires collaboration, innovation, and investment across the entire value chain and will have a role for all involved in the marine fuels matrix.

The Argus Sustainable Marine Fuels Conference returned to Houston, Texas, on September 10-12, 2025, bringing together senior decision-makers from across the marine fuels and bunkering industries. This leading multi-fuel event provided critical insights into policy developments, fuel availability, infrastructure readiness, and the commercial strategies and opportunities shaping the future of the sustainable marine fuels industry.

New for 2025, the Argus Marine Fuels 101 Workshop took place on September 10. Each session was delivered by a market expert, offering attendees the foundational knowledge needed to engage in meaningful conversations throughout the conference. Topics covered included global capacity, expansion plans, key price drivers, market fundamentals, current usage as a marine fuel, future challenges and opportunities and more.
