<article><p class="lead">Bunker fuel deliveries in the UAE's Fujairah, the world's third largest bunker centre, remain disrupted <a href="https://direct.argusmedia.com/newsandanalysis/article/2355342">as a result of heavy rainfall</a> that caused widespread floods in the port area.</p><p>Bunker barges have resumed deliveries in the anchorage area outside the port, but loading terminals are affected by flooding and remain closed.</p><p>Major suppliers have suspended giving quotes today to assess the damage caused to the bunker infrastructure. </p><p>"Some said they may be able to offer after 10 August, but at this point it is hard to say when barges can load from the terminals," a Fujairah bunker trader said.</p><p>Suppliers are anxious for loadings to resume as soon as possible before barges run out of fuel to supply vessels in the anchorage. They expect the delays to cause a big backlog, which can take a week to clear. </p><p>"At the moment, the flooded water is being pumped out from our terminal and this can take a while", a local supplier said.</p><p>Fujairah bunker prices rose against Singapore values as a result of the disruption. The 0.5pc marine fuel price in Fujairah was assessed at a premium of over $20/t on 28 July from $9.86/t on 27 July. </p><p class="bylines">By Elshan Aliyev</p></article>
